The government has once again extended the night curfew in the state. The state government has extended night curfew in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surat, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Gandhinagar and Bhavnagar till November 10 for one more month with two days left till the Navratri festival. Night curfew will be enforced in eight cities from 12 noon to 6 am.

Earlier, a night curfew was imposed from September 26 to October 10. A night curfew was imposed in eight cities of the state from 12 noon to 6 am till October 10, according to an earlier Home Department announcement. Then came a new announcement in the second north, in which there was no increase or decrease in the time of Garba during Navratri.
8 Relief in night curfew in the metropolis
Earlier, when the night curfew in eight towns expired on September 25, the new Gujarat government had taken an important decision with the reduction of night curfew and new guidelines for organizing street garba in Navratri. These decisions were taken in an important meeting held by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel with Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi, in which curfew is currently in force in 8 metros of the state - Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surat, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Jamnagar and Gandhinagar - from September 26 to October 10 A night curfew was imposed until 6 p.m.
Limit of 400 people in Sheri Garba
The night curfew was imposed from 12 noon to 6 pm, reducing the night curfew by one hour from 26 September. While Navratri is being celebrated in the state, the government had decided to allow only street garba, society and flats like Garba, Durga Puja, Vijayadashami Utsav, Sharadpurnima Utsav in the state with a limit of 400 persons. Commercial celebrations of Navratri are not allowed in party plots, clubs, open spaces or any other place in the state.
Curfew was relaxed on Janmashtami and Ganesh Chaturthi festivals
Earlier, the Gujarat government had announced to ease night curfew as well as other restrictions in the state as per the guidelines and SOP on Corona regarding festivals like Janmashtami and Ganeshotsav. The curfew was imposed on Janmashtami at 1 pm and during the 10 days of Ganeshotsav from 12 noon to 6 am. However, during Ganeshotsav itself, the new government had reduced the night curfew in 8 metros from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
