Changing your smartphone for any reason is a bit of a hassle as you have to change old data transfer, context transfer and many more settings. It may take time for everyone to set up a new smartphone because of their personal preferences.
There can be no asking for contact or data transfer. With a little effort, users can completely switch from an old Android phone to a new one. So if you follow these simple steps, you too can transfer all the contacts from your old Android phone to the new Android phone.
You can use a Google Account
First delete the Google account and check that you have synced the contact before removing the data from your old phone. All users have to do is go to settings, scroll down again and click on accounts or sync to sync their contacts.
Now select the Google Account where you want to save your contacts
Select Account Sync in the drop down menu. If you do not see this page on your device, go to the next page.
Make sure your contact page is Enable. Now click on the three-dots icon and tap on Sync Now. This will ensure that all your contacts are synchronized with your Google Account.
Now, on your new device, log in with the same Google Account and you'll get all your contacts back.
Using a v Card file
Users can also export their contacts offline using a vCard file.
Follow these steps to export your contacts as a file.
Go to the Contacts app, open the menu option (it can also be opened using a three-point icon or a three-bar icon).
Tap on settings. From the next menu, select Export.
Now, select the Google Account whose contacts you want to export.
Next, transfer the file to your new device. Use Bluetooth, Email, WhatsApp or any mode of your choice.
On your new device, open the Contacts app. Go to Settings from the Options menu and tap Import
Select the Vcf file option. Now, select the account in which you want to save the imported contacts. On the next page, find the .vcf file and tap OK.
