The rail lines on Monday changed the regalia of its serving staff on board the Ramayan Express after diviners from Ujjain protested the saffron clothing of the servers.
The diviners said it was an affront to the Hindu religion and took steps to stop the train in Delhi on December 12 in case the clothing regulation was not removed.

The outfits have been changed to ordinary shirts and pants and customary headgear. The servers will, notwithstanding, wear saffron veils and gloves.

Ujjain city in Madhya Pradesh, where the Mahakaleshwar Shiva sanctuary is found, has the Simhastha Kumbh Mela at regular intervals.
The primary Ramayan circuit train chugged off on a 17-day venture from the Safdarjung railroad station on November 7. It will visit 15 spots related with the existence of Lord Ram. Covering a distance of in excess of 7,500 km, the train will take explorers to spots like Ayodhya, Prayag, Nandigram, Janakpur, Chitrakoot, Sitamarhi, Nasik, Hampi, and Rameshwaram.
