Digital Health ID Card for all Indians: Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission on September 27, saying it "has the potential to bring about transformational change in Indian health facilities".

Under commission, everyone in India will now receive a digital health ID, which will provide them with all the benefits provided by the government, and their health record will be protected digitally.
The digital health ID will use a citizen's mobile number or Aadhaar ID, and one can view their health records using the app.

What is a Health ID card?
The digital ID will contain a variety of personal information related to their health, including all their illnesses, visits to doctors, tests, diagnoses, and prescriptions.
This also aims to help doctors learn about a patient's history before starting treatment.
Announcing the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission on Monday, the Prime Minister said he would connect digital health solutions to Indian hospitals.
"The Mission will not only make hospital procedures easier but will also prolong life," he said.
Using a mobile phone number or Aadhaar card number, Digital Health ID will enable you to view all health records with the help of a mobile app, Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR), and Healthcare Facilities Registries (HFR).
You can get your lab reports, instructions and digital diagnoses from certified doctors by introducing Digital Health ID to a participating healthcare provider.
Benefits of Ayushman Bharat Health Card
Benefits under the PM Modi Health Card 2021 Scheme:
- According to the program, about 40% of the poorest families have been included in the provision of affordable health facilities.
- Students who receive health care through this program. After that they can have free medical facilities.
- Also, the plan covers the cost of hospitalization.
- In addition, the applicant will also receive the following hospital treatment treatment provided on the state list.
- Under the program, there are 25 special categories. It also covers approximately 13.54 medical and surgical procedures determined by the relevant authority.
- Patients who are experiencing problems with Oncology treatment and Cancer Chemotherapy, then there is relief as well. As the government has integrated more than 50 types of cancer under this program.
- Also, the medical and supply package provided in this program may not be used simultaneously by a citizen.
- However, in the case of multiple surgeries, the initial surgical coverage will be like a very high-density package. But in the second operation, the combined dose is 50%. And when the third operation is performed, it should be 25% insurance covered under the health card.
How to apply for a Digital Health Card Card online? Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Visit the official website of the National Digital Health Mission (https://ndhm.gov.in/)
Step 2: Scroll down to find the Health ID section
Step 3: Click on the Create health ID option
Step 4: You will be taken to a separate page with three login options:
a) Nge-Aadhaar
b) If you do not have Aadhaar or do not want to use Aadhaar
c) Registered Users
Step 5: If you want to use your Aadhaar to create a Digital Health ID, click the first option
Step 6: Key in your 12-digit Aadhaar and follow the instructions to complete the registration process.
