UP Govt Declares 10 sq km Area of Mathura-Vrindavan as Pilgrimage Site
"UP Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath today (Friday) pronounced a sum of 22 civil wards falling in 10 sq km of the space, keeping Shri Krishna's origination in the focal point of Mathura-Vrindavan, as a journey site," said the UP CMO.
On 30 August, Adityanath had forced a total restriction on the offer of alcohol and meat in Mathura. "Holy people and public agents are of the view that alcohol and meat shouldn't be devoured here," he was cited as saying at the Krishnotsava 2021 program in Lucknow by ANI.
He had said the organization would guide and train those occupied with such exercises to move to an alternate exchange.
He had even suggested that those associated with selling meat or alcohol shift to the milk exchange, which would assist Mathura with turning into a top milk maker by and by, PTI had detailed.
