Prime Minister Narendra Modi today participated in the self-reliant Nari Shakti program through video conference. During which he announced an amount of Rs 1625 crore for women entrepreneurs. He interacted with women associated with Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana and addressed the nation.
PM Modi said, that today women have been given huge financial help to become partners in the cause of a self-reliant India.
He has provided assistance of Rs. 1625 crore to women associated with the food processing industry, women affiliated to Kisan Utpadak Sangh as well as women associated with each industry.
Prime Minister Modi said that the way in which the women's served the countrymen through the aid group during the Coronation period was unprecedented, adding that women had made a significant contribution in delivering masks, sanitizers, and essentials during the Coronation period.
Prime Minister Modi also said that when his government came to power, there were millions of women who did not even have a bank account. They knew nothing about the banking system. So he started a campaign to open a Jandhan account.
