Russia has started the delivery of S-400 surface-to-air missile systems to India
Russia has begun the conveyance of S-400 surface-to-air rocket frameworks to India, as per a senior Russian authority.
Russia's Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) Dmitry Shugaev told Sputnik news that the conveyances are going as arranged.
"The provisions of the S-400 air safeguard framework to India have begun and are continuing on time," he said.
In October 2018, India had marked a $5 billion arrangement with Russia to purchase five units of the S-400 air safeguard rocket frameworks, in spite of a notice from the Trump organization that proceeding with the agreement might welcome U.S. sanctions.
India made the principal tranche of installment of around $800 million to Russia for the rocket frameworks in 2019.
The S-400 is known as Russia's most developed long-range surface-to-air rocket protection framework.
Following U.S. sanctions on Turkey over the obtainment of S-400 rocket frameworks, there have been misgivings that Washington might force comparable correctional measures on India.
