Capt Amarinder Singh leave Congress, sends resignation letter to Sonia Gandhi
Punjab: Amarinder Singh accused Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra of patronizing Navjot Sidhu, "an unstable individual" and "an acolyte of the Pakistani deep state" and said Mrs. Gandhi had "turned a blind eye" to it all.
Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh handed in his resignation to the Congress today, leveling a series of accusations against the party and its individual leaders -- including party chief Sonia Gandhi, her son, and daughter.
He accused Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra of patronising Navjot Sidhu, "an unstable individual" and "an acolyte of the Pakistani deep state" and said Mrs. Gandhi had "turned a blind eye" to it all.
Former Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Tuesday resigned from the Congress and sent his resignation letter to party president Sonia Gandhi.

In a tweet, Capt Amarinder said, "I have today sent my resignation to Congress President Ms. Sonia Gandhi Ji, listing my reasons for the resignation. 'Punjab Lok Congress’ is the name of the new party. The registration is pending approval with the Election Commission of India. The party symbol will be approved later."
