Srinagar: Two Bihar workers were shot dead by terrorists today, taking the number of people killed in an attack on Jammu and Kashmir this month to 11.
Terrorists opened fire on workers in Vanpoh in Kulgam district today. Another employee was injured in the incident.
The killings came a day after a gol-gappa trader from Bihar and a Uttar Pradesh carpenter was shot dead by local terrorists.
A shopkeeper, Arbind Kumar Sah, was shot naked in Srinagar. The carpenter, Sagir Ahmad, was shot dead by a group of terrorists in Pulwama, police said.

Of the 11 people killed in the massacre, five were from other provinces. This shows that the terrorists want to deport people from other provinces in Kashmir, an official said.
IGP Kashmir once again reiterates his #appeal to all #misguided youth who have joined #terror folds to shun the path of violence & #return to mainstream. He also said that Police is #committed to accept them with open arms as society needs them the most especially their #parents.

Among the dead were Makhan Lal Bindroo, a prominent member of the Kashmiri Pandit community and the owner of a Srinagar pharmacy, Mohammad Shafi Lone, a taxi driver, teachers Deepak Chand and Supunder Kaur and a street food vendor Virender Paswan.
The killings have sparked fears in the village, prompting displaced Kashmiri Pandit families living in camps. Many families, including those of government workers who returned to the Valley after getting jobs under the Prime Minister's special Kashmiri migration program, have left.
Following the attack, police launched a massive operation and detained about 900 people across the Union Territory on suspicion of contact with separatists.
The security forces have also intensified their efforts to combat terrorism. According to police, 13 terrorists were killed this week.
"Thirteen terrorists were killed in nine incidents after the massacre. We have killed three out of five terrorists in Srinagar in less than 24 hours," said Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar.
