MLA Raghavji Patel said that most of the villages in Jamnagar taluka have been badly damaged due to heavy rains all day on Sunday and Sunday night. At home, people have climbed to the second floor to save their lives. Most of the villages are not contacted. All the demos in Jamnagar taluka have been flooded in one day.
MLA Raghavji Patel said, "I believe it has rained very heavily in 8 hours in a day like never before in the recent history. In this situation, the people of Jamnagar area are in trouble." In order to save lives and livestock of the people, I have immediately informed the Secretary of State, State Government, Collector and Mamlatdar to all the people and I am in constant touch with the Collector of the district. I am aware that the condition of most of the villages is bad due to heavy rains.
The team of NDRF, SDRF has been dispatched to save the lives of the people. Helicopters have also been arranged for rescue while the authorities are preparing food packets for meals and we are in constant touch with Jamnagar Satwara and leaders. The situation is bad. We are making all arrangements to help the people there. Raghavji Patel said.
When the clouds have been kind over Jamnagar district, Kalawad has received more than 7 inches of rain in 3 hours. In which 6 inches of rain was seen in Jamnagar, 2.25 inches in Jamjodhpur and 2 inches in Jodia.
Alya village in Jamnagar taluka has been flooded for a month and people have climbed into two or three storey houses to save their lives.
